How much will the price of Intel core i7 2600k reduce by Q4 2011 or Q2 2012?

All of that would be extremely difficult to say..if not impossible! most price drops only happen when the CPU becomes "obsolete" by virtue of a "better" replacement. The 980X came out at about $1050...its now down to $999. Either AMD or Intel don't play the "price wars" as they once did. Retail prices are set in 1000 piece lots. ANYTHING can happen between now and next year If Bulldozer comes out at $250 and is as good a hyped, I would buy as many as possible for my clients as I could get my hands on! Since the prediction, of the SATA problem for Sandy Bridge is supposed to cost upwards of $700 million in lost revenues and of course time, If anything the Price for the 1155's will go UP when they are re introduces! The March/April dates are only a guess not a fact. IF one could predict all you ask with ANY kind of accuracy, they would be called "Merlin the magnificent" and would Instantly be made President of the US! I would also love to know his prediction on the Super Bowl!
