Why did my alpine mrp m500 amp stop working?

Until now, I've been satisfied just to look for a new amp instead of asking questions. But now I really need to know. I had the amp for about 3 years, no problems, then all of a sudden it just wouldn't work. The light turns on, but no sound comes out. I checked power, ground, remote turn on, rca, subs, and speaker wire to subs; all are good. I heard it might be because I have 2 svc subs wired in parallel to the amp (which is a mono amp), and some how this fried it because the amp isn't bridgeable or something??? Even though it was perfectly fine for 3 years with this set up. Any ideas?
