Can I run two 15 inch subwoofers with an Alpine 1000 watt amp? Also what would some good subs be to purchase?

I have an Alpine MRP-1000 Mono Amp. I have a 15 inch ported box in my trunk so I need to purchase two 15 inch subs that will run with my Amplifier. Is there any way that I can run two subs off of my Mono Channel Amp? Also would it be better to run 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm subs. I am currently debating between the MTX Thunder 7500 or Re Audio Sex 15's. Are these subs any good and if anyone has any better reccomendations that would be greatly appreciated.
