Lincese plate stickers in MN?

Will be visiting MN for a few months on a contract. I will be driving around in a car with CT plates. In CT it is not necessary to have license plate / windshield stickers. What is the law in MN? If an officer charges me of expired plates is it sufficient if I just show my registration?
