If my 1-year lease says that it expires on 6/16/2011 and I signed it on 6/16/2011 is the contract void?

I want to break my lease to save on rent, is this typo enough to make the contract void? It says that after the expiration date the contract becomes a month-to-month lease. So does this mean my contract is month-to-month now?
